Welbeck Welcome awaits you Two

51 (Orton) Squadron bids farewell to Cadet Corporals Sam Harding and Robyn Chatfield.

They now have the opportunity of a lifetime as they embark upon the new and varied challenges that await them at Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College (DFSC).

Sam and Robyn have gone through several weeks of interviews, assessments and initiative exercises at RAF Cranwell and Welbeck DFSC. Including the anxious wait for exam results to drop through the letter box.

There are several career paths available to students entering Welbeck. Sam has chosen to Follow the Royal Air Force route, while Robyn has chosen the Defence Engineering and Science Group

To quote the College vision statement, “Welbeck DSFC educates students from all backgrounds to achieve their ambition to become an Officer in the Armed Services or the Civil Service”

Officer Commanding 51 (Orton) Squadron, Flt Lt Angela Bone said, “our loss is certainly Welbecks gain. We wish Sam and Robyn well for the future and look forward to them returning to the Squadron for an insight into their new way of life.”

Sam and Robyn are pictured with Squadron Leader Tony Bartlett in a final farewell.
