RAF Regiment Honour at Remembrance Parade

"We Will Remember Them"

Cadets and Staff from 51 (Orton) Squadron were on Parade for Remembrance Day last Sunday. It was a dry, cold and blustery day as they formed up and marched to Peterborough Cathedral for the remembrance service followed by the Wreath laying ceremony at the memorial.

The Squadron Wreath was laid by Wing and Squadron Warrant Officer Chris Bone ATC on behalf of the Commanding Officer Pilot Officer Angela Bone VR(T).

The Squadron was tasked with extra duties during the day as Cadets Harding and Dann were wheel chair orderlies throughout the parade and service. Cadet Sergeant Adam Cornwall had the honour to be the wreath bearer for Flt Lt Lucas Willis of the Royal Australian Air Force.

Cadet Catherine Jelliman was also given the duty and honour to be an escort to the RAF Regiment Association Standard. As an ex RAF Regiment Gunner, Warrant Officer Chris Bone was delighted that 51 (Orton) Squadron could offer assistance in this way to his former colleagues.
