Supporting the Pinks
Some twenty five plus Cadets from 51 (Orton) Squadron spent their Tuesday evening handing out bottles of water, medals and giving loads of support at the Peterborough Race for Life Event.
This annual event which works towards raising awareness and funds in support of loved ones has become an annual event for the members of 51 (Orton) squadron. Each year the cadets come out in force regardless of the weather to support those ladies who are running or walking to raise money to help in the fight against cancer. The cadets do not only offer vocal support, but each cadet takes part in handing out water bottles, medals, or marshalling at various points around the course. But the support doesn’t stop there, right till the end they take part in the litter picking to leave the environment safe for the local wildlife.
Cadet Flight Sergeant Logan Robinett said, "Once again, our cadets have done the Squadron proud and even the damp wet weather did not put a dampener on the cadets sprits and that of those doing the 5km run."
