Hockey Goalkeeper gains Silver Medal as Central and East Region unbeaton
Cadet Hannah Graham pulled off all the saves over 5 matches at RAF Cosford this weekend, and despite only conceding one goal, and not losing one match, she could only help her Central and East Team mates to a well deserved and hard fought second place in the Inter Regional Hockey Festival.
Hannah kept clean sheets in 4 of the games, and only conceded the goal in Central and East Regions 2-1 victory over Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Hannah is in her first year as a cadet, and has already impressed staff and cadets alike with her positive and enthusiastic attitude throughout her short cadet career.
Chris Bone Wing and Squadron Warrant Officer at 51 (Orton) Squadron said, “To see a young cadet achieve so much, in such a short space of time is a real boost not only for Hannah, but for the Squadron as a whole. It proves that with a little effort, a great deal can be achieved. We hope Hannah will consider the Open team in the New Year, and we will encourage her every step of the way.”
