Cadets Unite with Guide Dogs

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much

Seven Air Cadets from 51 (Orton) Squadron spent their Sunday helping out the Anglian Region Guide Dog Organisation.
Guide Dogs Unite

Dogs unite is a UK wide event, where owners are encouraged to meet at various locations and dates to take part in a sponsored walk with their own dogs and make them hero’s for a short while. All money raised in these events go towards the running of the Guide Dogs, which is a charity only run organisation who make a difference to so many sight loss people. The Guide Dogs themselves are true Heroes on a daily basis and do change people’s lives.

Each of the cadets worked hard during the day, registering the dog walkers and their best buddies, whilst also advertising the work of the Guide Dog organisation. They took part in the event also, by marshalling the route and a couple of our hardworking cadets also played their part by dressing up as pooches themselves.

Cpl Eason-Edge said, "I have been on several fundraising events, but it always seems so much more enjoyable when you can really muck in and help such a well-deserved organisation."
