Cadets and Staff alike joined together to wish Flt Lt Angie Bone and WO Chris Bone a fond farewell, and what a departure.
The evening started off to a cracking start, with a First Aid Scenario for Flt Lt Bone to take control, which under her umbrella of a Wing First Aid, was very fitting an appropriate. As with many such events 51 (Orton) Squadron casualties managed their acting to perfection and Flight Sergeant Natalie Clampin said “It was great to see Flt Lt Bone demonstrating such perfection and being on the receiving end of such situations”.
Each cadet present lined the squadron as WO Chris Bone entered the squadron to the sound of bag pipes, followed by a buffet meal, for all to partake. Which was kindly concluded with a serenade by WO Bone to the old favourite “Why Why Why Deliha”.
After a few words from Flt Sergeant Smith, gifts of appreciation were presented to Angie and Chris, which were received with thanks and words of encouragement for the Cadets to continue as an excellent squadron and to shine at all they do.
The squadron of course will still being seeing Chris and Angie on a regular basis as they have only moved to 1406 (Spalding) Squadron and both with be continuing with their wing posts and such a move can only strength the bond between two squadrons.
Everyone from 51 (Orton) Squadron wish Chris and Angie all the best with their future time with the Air Cadets.
