A Sea of Blue.

51 (Orton) Squadron cadets lined the tills of Tesco Serpentine Green on Saturday.  The Squadron wants to extend a whole load of thanks to the Staff at Tesco's and the massive generosity of the Peterborough people; these events could not be the success they are without their support.

Some 20 cadets supported the fundraising efforts of the squadron for 7 hours, helping shoppers to pack their bags. Once again the cadets heard many stories from Men and Women alike that have experienced at first hand life within the forces. The Cadets find this makes the day for them, loving to hear what others have experienced.

This year we are looking to raise money to help our Cadets achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, by kitting our squadron with Tents, Mini Cookers and general camping gear which can then be loaned to each cadet now and in the future.  The Air Cadet Organisation is one of the leading organisations for 14 to 17 year olds to gain their DofE awards.

During our day at Tesco's we had many potential Cadets approach us for more information about our organisation, and we have extended an invitation for them to come and visit us at on our squadron on a Tuesday or Wednesday night between 19.00 and 21.15 to experience a whole lot of fun, learning and opportunities you could only dream of. If you were not lucky enough to see us, then don't worry, just pop along to our own premises at the side of Nene Park Academy or call 07725873405

The Squadron is recruiting now!!
